In the spring of 2002 I was travelling to the Floorball World Cup as a supporter and tourist. At least I supposed so, because as I worked for a radio station and did other journalism jobs before, I became Team Germany's Press Referent. Apart from that, I was also accrediated as a photographer as I have been fotographing for leasure before.
In order to prepare for that event, I "trained" sports fotography at the Four Nations Cup in Ilsenburg (Wernigerode county) at the Harz mountains. While doing this, I was asked several times whether I could publish these pics somehow. This was the idea and beginning of this site. Meanwhile, I enlarged it with several other sports, especially (Indian) Tennis.
Another question I had to think about was the question of quality. I did not want these pics to be published without my permission by anybody else, so the quality must be quite low. Apart from that, I cannot expect you to have highspeed internet connection. On the other hand, the pics must be good enough that you can watch them properly. Hope I did the job.
