In this Round of 16 match, the Burgdorf Wizards disappointed completely and had a very bad day against the Basel hosts Leimental. After a Burgdorf lead in the first period, the match was tied by the hosts in the second period and finally needed to be decided by shootout. With her short two-second appearance on the field after taking a team's penalty for incorrect substitution, Nicole Vertesi was the first Hungarian player ever to step in the rink for an SML team.
